Restricted Collections at the Library of Congress
|
>>> The Manuscript Collection at the Library of Congress houses many rare, often unique collections of documents. For various reasons - including privacy, copyright, and classification - around 200 of these collections (or portions thereof) are restricted. In some cases, this means that the researcher must get specific permission or sign a legal form before viewing; others collections can be viewed but not photocopied or even quoted; in others cases, no one is allowed to view a collection under any circumstances. The list below was sent by Patrick M. Kerwin of the Library of Congress to researcher Michael Ravnitzky on 23 March 2004. It's also available as a PDF document here. |
